Travel | Places To Visit In Hong Kong

Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong
Street view from Langham Place, Hong Kong
Visiting a place with different companies, after a few years, gives you different experience. My impression towards this city, a combination of slow and fast pace city, photogenic city, Tramways, Polo Bun, Dim Sum, Disneyland, Ocean Park, a lot of cantonese etc. To be honest, we didn't plan our trip and looking for delicious food. We just go wherever we wanna go and spend time there whole day either shopping or walking around under humid weather.

First morning in Hong Kong
PMQ, Hong Kong
Summer time in HK definitely will be a tough day for tourist like us. But what doesn't kill us make us stronger. We were introduced by a friend of mine browsing this place named PMQ. It stands for Police Married Quarters back in the days but it was now refurbished into a complex full of pop up stores and exhibitions. I visited this place twice, during weekday and weekend, and I realize they do have variety of workshops with affordable price during the weekend. If you're an art and design lover like me, this place will be like a heaven to you.

Central-Mid-Levels Escalators is also a must visit place. It's the longest outdoor escalator. You may enter from 100 Queen's Road, Central.

My sister suggested we drop by Hysan Place, The Lee Gardens for Eslite Bookstore in Causeway Bay to spend our evening there. My first visit to Eslite Bookstore was in Taiwan earlier this year. It is definitely my favorite bookstore all time. Sitting in the bookstore and start reading.

In Eslite Bookstore, there is a must try bubble tea named cha FOR TEA TO GO located at 10/F. Its a must try bubble tea whenever you visit Eslite Bookstore no matter in Taiwan or Hong Kong.

It was about 8pm, we went up for the famous Wantan Mee at Ho Hung Kee, 12/F, Hysan Place. This restaurant was awarded as Michelin 1 Starred Restaurant (2015) so it's definitely a must try Wantan Mee in HK. You may look into Open Rice for more information.

We went to Ngong Ping 360 and Tian Tan Buddha. Cable car is a transportation that I really dislike because I have acrophobia. But I'll still keep calm and stick my butt in the cable car as it's a 'must see' place when you visit to HK. You can see the airport from the cable car as it's located in Tung Chung which is near to the airport in Chek Lap Kok.

I was busy shopping and crazy over all those discounts. And we all know that shopping is well-known to-do and must-do in Hong Kong. But instead of shopping in the city which is more expensive, we went to Citygate, Tung Chung for some outlet shopping. To me, I always love off season collections so shopping in outlet mall is definitely on my list. There is also Sasa outlet in this mall which you can get at least 30% to 70% cheaper than buying in the city.

Wrapping Up

Hong Kong is a place that I've been there for more than thrice and which I still love and can never get bored of. Therefore, this trip, I'm just hanging around not usual tourist places, enjoying time flying past. Well enjoyed spending money everywhere.
